Reflecting on 2008 and Looking Ahead to 2009

There has been a lot of discussion in our house about the new year. Many of the conversations involved things we changed during 2008 that made us happier. As we talked about those changes, it soon became clear almost all of them also made our lives greener. It was nice to see the two characteristics line up so nicely so I thought I would share!

Product Review for Simple Shoes

The heat of summer arrived with a vengeance this year! As a result, I’ve been seeking ways to stay cool. My favorite pair of sandals fell apart last fall so finding a new pair was high on my to do list.

We can’t afford to replace all our possessions with eco-friendly options, and don’t think that would be particularly green either, but are trying to make sure our purchases are eco-friendly whenever we can. I wasn’t sure if there were affordable and comfortable and attractive eco-friendly shoes but decided to see what the options were. Read more
