About Us

Greening Families was created by the husband and wife team of Richard and Stephanie. Since becoming parents, we  have spent innumerable hours searching for and researching organic and non-toxic products for their family. Folks kept asking us questions about our choices so we decided to share our research and thoughts on a blog as well as in person. Thus Greening Families was born.

Our daughters have joined the effort as well. Although young (currently 7 and 5! 6 and 3), they both want to help take care of the earth. They decided that they want to be known as the Koala Sisters since “Koalas are cute!” The girls are working on their theme song and a matching dance, both of which get longer and more elaborate with practice. In the past eight years, we’ve made many changes and have many more we want to make. We know it is easy to become overwhelmed – we’ve certainly been! – so we break big changes down into manageable steps. We know cost is an issue – it is for us! – so also include budget saving information. We invite you to join us in greening YOUR family!
